Founded in 1903 by Dr. Stanton Allen & Lynde Bradley, Allen-Bradley is a factory automation equipment manufacturer that operates out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Having had a long presence in the city, the Allen-Bradley Clock Tower has become a landmark building in the city. Its four-faced clock holds the world-record for the largest clock of its kind. In 1985, the company was purchased by Rockwell International, a major manufacturing conglomerate for $1.6 billion dollars. The acquisition is considered to be the largest in Wisconsin history.
