Additional Information

Garfield is a lazy and grumpy tabby cat depicted in an American newspaper comic strip created by Jim Davis in 1978. Born in an Italian restaurant, Garfield loves lasagna and loathes Mondays. Garfield is taken in by John Arbuckle and his dog, Odie, a lovable but dumb companion. The comic strip’s popularity led to books, Emmy Award-winning television shows in the early eighties, movies in 2004 and 2006, and lucrative merchandise sales. Garfield holds the Guinness World Record for the world’s most syndicated comic strip. "Poe" likely refers to American writer Edgar Allan Poe, best known for his dark and dreary stories which the cantankerous Garfield would find appealing.
