Additional Information

Herbert Buckingham Khaury (1932-1996), better known as Tiny Tim, was an American singer, musical archivist and ukulele player. He is noted for his high falsetto voice. His best known songs are his covers of “Tiptoe Through the Tulips” and “Livin’ in the Sunlight, Lovin’ in the Moonlight”. He started out performing at shows, night clubs, and other amateur gigs throughout the 1950’s but it wasn’t until 1963 when he had his first paid gig that he adopted the stage name Tiny Tim. He appeared in a couple of films in the 1960’s until he was booked for Rowan and Martin’s Laugh-In, where he soon performed his famous rendition of “Tiptoe Through the Tulips”. His first album, God Bless Tiny Tim was released in 1968. A year later he released For All My Little Friends, a collection of children’s songs that received a Grammy nomination. After his televised marriage to Miss Vicki in 1969 he appeared on television less often but continued to make appearances in Las Vegas and released several albums throughout the 1990’s until his death.
