Universal Studios is a film production company stationed in University City, California and established in 1912 by Charles O. Bauman, Jules Brulatour, Robert H. Cochrane, Mark Dintenfass, David Horsely, Adam Kessel, Carl Laemmle, Pat Powers, and William Swanson. Presently referred to as Universal Pictures, it holds the record as being the U.S. oldest running film production company. In addition to that record, it is considered to be one sixth of Hollywood's Big Six, which is a group of the top six greatest film companies in the Hollywood area. Some of the most popular films that it is responsible for are Back to the Future, The Fast and the Furious, and Despicable Me.
