Additional Information

The 1926 Philadelphia Sesqui-Centennial International Exposition was a public relations event intended to mark the 150th anniversary of the founding of America and 50th anniversary of the 1876 Centennial Exposition. Sadly, the exposition was not a great success. Opening day was rained out and attendance was far below expectation. The fair went into receivership and the assets were auctioned off.
