The Chickasaw Mudd Puppies are a rock band formed by Brant Slay and Ben Reynolds out of Athens, Georgia. The image of their 1991 vinyl EP release “Do You Remember?” is the same image as featured here. The duo found local success in the early 1990s and subsequently released two albums produced by R.E.M. frontman Micheal Stipe. The group was known for their use of unique percussion instruments such as washboard and cowbells, they even invented the instrument known as the stomp board. In 1991, they were featured in a San Bernardino newspaper as an up and coming rock band alongside Dinosaur Jr. and others. The group never found national success and broke up in 1991. They have, however, reunited for local shows in Athens as early as 2011.
