| Additional Information | Mickey Mouse holds a microphone for New Year's Eve celebration for the year 1986 at Walt Disney World Resort near Orlando, Florida. Walt Disney World was opened in 1971 by the Walt Disney Company. Mickey Mouse is one of the "fab five" core classic characters that Disney uses frequently. Disney pin collecting and trading was officially introduced in 1999 as a collectible activity causing the value of pins and buttons produced at Disney to increase. Modern pins are mostly enamel lapel pin, but Disney still produces celebration buttons for their resorts to give at no cost to those celebrating special events including birthdays, weddings, or first time visits. |
