Born in 1898 in Idaho, Glenn Tryon was an actor and writer. Tryon worked for Universal, and was best known for playing Roy Lane, a “hoofer”, or dancer, in both the silent and “talkie” versions of the movie Broadway. He acted in several B movies before becoming a screenwriter in 1934 and a producer for Universal in 1941. Tryon died in 1970 at the age of 72.
