Additional Information | Pat Benatar was a widely popular musician of the early 1980's. Benatar began singing in clubs in the New York City area in the 1970's, where she was discovered and signed by Chrysalis Records. Her debut album from 1979, In the Heat of the Night, included two radio hits, "Heartbreaker" and "I Need a Lover." From there her 1980's album, Crimes of Passion, went platinum shortly after it was released. It included the classic songs, Hit Me with Your Best Shot," "Treat Me Right," and "You Better Run." Her last solo LP was released in 2003 and since then, Benatar has conducted several tours and published her memoir. |
