Additional Information Sir James Paul McCartney is a British musician most well-known for his singing, song-writing, and guitar playing for arguably one of the most influential and popular bands of all time, The Beatles. Some of the more popular songs that McCartney wrote are “Yesterday,” “Hey Jude,” “Eleanor Rigby,” “The Long and Winding Road,” and “Let It Be.” Paul McCartney has had a very long and successful solo career since The Beatles split in 1970. In 1971, Paul McCartney formed a band called Wings with his wife, Linda McCartney. After ten years, that band dissolved, as well.
