Runaway Ralph (1970) is a children’s book written by Beverly Cleary, featuring a talking mouse named Ralph S. Mouse who owns a toy motorcycle. Cleary wrote many popular children’s books and was awarded for her lasting contribution to children’s literature. Ralph first appears in The Mouse and the Motorcycle (1965) and then is also featured in Ralph S. Mouse (1982). All three books were made into films by Churchill Films (now distributed through Scholastic’s Weston Woods).
