Additional Information

Tiny Tim was the stage name of performer Herbert Buckingham Khaury.  He was born April 12, 1932, and died on November 30, 1996.  Growing up he took an interest in music and began to learn instruments such as the violin, mandolin, and the ukulele, for which he is best known.  He is also known for singing in an exaggerated, warbling falsetto and for his signature tune "Tiptoe Through the Tulips."

While having some local success in New York nightclubs, he achieved mainstream popularity after performing on the television variety program Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In in 1968.  In December of 1969, Tiny Tim married his then-girlfriend Victoria Budinger (known as "Miss Vicki") on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson which was watched by 40 million people.
