Godzilla vs Megalon is a 1973 Japanese science fiction kaiju film produced by Toho and is the thirteenth film in the Godzilla franchise. The illustration is of Megalon the undersea beetle. The film came to the US in 1976. As part of the massive promotional campaign of the movie, T-shirts, comic books, and buttons were given away to the first 50 youngsters attending the premiere in Los Angeles.

In the film, Megalon, the springy cockroach-monster with a power drill mounted on his head, was sent from the underground kingdom of Seatopia to destroy the above ground dwellers. Godzilla, the independent thinking robot hero, is going to stop him.
