| Additional Information | "Hatred feeds war breeds fear fuels hatred" is a slogan from the anti-Iraq war movement, describing the destructive cycle of war and hatred. The image of Uncle Sam with his hands on his hips was first used during World War I to recruit soldiers for the war effort. By using an image from WWI recruitment posters with their message for peace they turn a militaristic Uncle Sam, and therefore United States, into a peaceful one.
