Congressional Quarterly is a publication founded in 1945 by Nelson and Henrietta Poynter to inform US citizens of congressional activity. Their aim with this publication was to foster interest in and understanding of, the real-life impacts of government. “I <3 Politics in America” is a slogan that communicates engagement and enthusiasm for the democratic process, keeping in line with the ethos of Congressional Quarterly.
