Additional Information:

John Fitzgerald Kennedy, often referred to as JFK, was the thirty-fifth president of the United States and started his term in January of 1961. Kennedy was born May 29, 1917, to Rose and Joseph of the prominent Kennedy family. He was one of nine. Born into a privileged upbringing, Kennedy was prepared for a political career by his politician father. There was controversy about his nomination due to Kennedy being the first Catholic president. It didn’t dissuade the majority, however, because he won the election beating future president Richard Nixon. His term ended in tragedy when he was assassinated in November of 1963.
