The Wall is a 1979 concept album by Pink Floyd and a 1982 film based on this album. The album centers around the character Pink thoughout his life as he experiences trauma that leads to his eventual isolation. The film's screenplay was written by the band's bassist and singer Roger Waters. It combines live action and animation and features the band's music prominently. Both the album and the film are highly symbolic, with representations of alienation, abandonment, and fascism.
