| Additional Information | Originally created in 1975 as a fictional band for a short sketch on the Rutland Weekend Television series, the Rutles became a real British comedy rock band who toured and released albums. Founded by Eric Idle and Neil Innes, the group was well-known for their parodies of the Beatles, including the 1978 mockumentary All You Need is Cash, which spoofed the Beatles' rise to fame. Notably, original Beatles' member George Harrison made a cameo in the film as a journalist. |
