Additional Information | The American Trauma Society was founded in 1968 with the goal of increasing awareness, funding, prevention, and care of traumatic injuries. They believe that the survival of trauma patients is directly related to the level of care available, thus they advocate for proper training at every stage of a trauma system. The American Trauma Society supports national and state legislation that creates and trains trauma systems, and works with members at all levels of government to accomplish this goal. |
