Additional Information

Andre Dawson, also known as "The Hawk" and "Awesome Dawson" played for the Chicago Cubs for the 1987 to 1992 seasons as a right fielder. Before playing with Chicago he played for the Montreal Expos for a decade. Leaving Montreal in 1987 Dawson became a free agent, and signed with the Chicago Cubs and played one of his best seasons ever. Though the Cubs as a team were not champions, Dawson's talent was recognized and he became the first person to win the league MVP trophy from a team in last place. Dawson retired on September 29th, 1996. On July 25th 2010 he was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame.
