Additional Information | Black Horse Brewery of New Jersey, while popular during its time, only lasted from its opening in 1967 until 1987. There are numerous other Black Horse brews and breweries throughout several countries, but the horse image on their logo is distinct and easily recognized as theirs. New Jersey was a hub of breweries, so Black Horse Brewery thrived for a period. "There's only one pleasure better," was the first ad written by Ann Hayden, who later became the CEO of Saatchi & Saatchi Business Communications before taking on the role of executive creative director at Young & Rubicam. Their signature ale was referred to in advertising as the thoroughbred of ales. |
