Additional Information | N.G. Slater Corporation was founded in 1936 by Nathaniel George Slater as a specialist in “Lithographed Metal Advertising Buttons and Tabs.” Button business boomed in the 30s and 40s, and the company benefited with clients like the federal government, which ordered buttons supporting the National Recovery Act and war bonds. The company made space race, civil rights, and Black Panther buttons. In 1972, Nathaniel Slater created the yellow smiley face that became an icon. The corporation is still a family business that produces imprinted custom T-shirts, apparel, promotional products, buttons, corporate merchandise and giveaways for businesses and organizations, locally, nationally, and globally. |
