Additional Information | The term "Brotherhood of the Barrel" was coined during the Chicago Firefighters Strike from February 14 - March 7, 1980. The "Brotherhood" was formed by the striking firefighters that huddled around barrel fires to warm up while picketing outside. This pin was created towards the end of the strike as a rallying point for firefighters to wear in solidarity. |
