Chevy is the colloquial name for the United States automobile manufacturer Chevrolet founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant in Detroit, Michigan. Chevy was developed to compete with the Ford brand and shortly became a preferred car and truck manufacturer in the United States. The Chevy brand produces a range of vehicles for various uses, though is best known for medium-duty commercial trucks and sports cars.
