Additional Information | Corona was first brewed in Mexico to celebrate the Grupo Modelo company’s 10th anniversary in 1925. Corona Extra is the best-selling Mexican beer worldwide. Corona Extra is a pale lager and contains 4.6% alcohol. Corona is notable for selling their product in clear glass bottles, while most other companies sell in darker bottles to prevent sunlight from interacting with the hops. Corona states that with the finest ingredients they have nothing to hide or spoil for light interaction. The brand is also notable for being served with a lime, although in Mexico they prefer not to do this. The company releases promotion advertisements for holidays such as St. Patrick’s day to boost beer sales. |
