Additional Information | Disneyland opened in Anaheim, California in 1955. It was the first theme park built by the Walt Disney Company, and the only Disney theme park designed and built under the direct supervision of Walt Disney. He became inspired to open his own amusement park after visiting others with his daughters in the 1930s and 1940s. Disney envisioned a destination for adults and their children to have fun together. Today, Disneyland has the largest cumulative attendance of any theme park in the world. It has seen over 650 million guests since its opening. Donald Duck was created by Walt Disney Productions in 1934. He made his first appearance in the cartoon, The Little Wise Hen. Donald Duck is a friend of Mickey Mouse and is famous for his semi-intelligible speech and cantankerous personality. |
