Additional Information | Grace, Harry, Tiny, and Daisy Earles formed what was known to the public as "The Doll Family" and "The Moving Picture Midgets." The siblings immigrated from Germany to Pasadena, California with their parents and three other siblings. In the U.S. they performed in sideshows, circuses, and multiple motion pictures, most notably Tod Browning's Freaks (1932) and The Wizard of Oz (1939). Harry and Daisy were the main characters in Freaks and all the dwarf siblings had bit parts in The Wizard of Oz, with Harry playing a member of the Lollipop Guild. After their movie careers spanning the 1920s and 1930s, the Doll Family performed in Barnum and Bailey circus. |
