Florsheim Shoe Company was founded in 1892 by Milton Florsheim in Chicago, Illinois. The company introduced many cutting-edge designs, including its company name on the shoe, pull straps, and square-toed shoes. They are also known for the patented "Feeture Arch," where the design is made so the foot receives support to relieve stress on the leg and arch muscles. Florsheim was always at the forefront of the latest trends and their designs and popularity are a testament to that. Additionally, Florsheim took pride in supporting the United States during wartime and was one of the main boot suppliers for soldiers in World War I. In 2017, Florsheim celebrated its 125th anniversary.
