Additional Information | The image of Gina Schock, drummer of The Go-Go's, with a facemask and towel wrapped around her head was adapted from the cover of their debut album, "Beauty and the Beat," in 1981. It featured hit singles like "We Got the Beat" and "Our Lips Are Sealed." In 1978, the Go-Go's were one of the first female bands to write, produce, and play their own songs, which were a mix of pop, punk, and rock. Schock has written songs for Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez and released the book Made in Hollywood: All Access With the Go-Go's in 2021. |
