| Additional Information | The Smurfs began as the Belgian comic, Les Schtroumpfs, created by artist Peyo, featuring small blue creatures. It has since expanded into films, television series, games, dolls, and more. The blue creatures, known as smurfs, live in mushroom houses in the forest. They are simple creatures with equally simple names to explain their personalities, such as "Lazy Smurf," "Papa Smurf," and "Handy Smurf". Their simplicity is further exemplified by the fact that they frequently use the undefinable word "smurf" in place of nouns and verbs in everyday speech. |
