The lore of the Loch Ness Monster originated in the Loch Ness region of Scotland. Sightings of the infamous sea creature are recorded as early as the year 562 AD. The most circulated and well known image was a supposed photograph taken in 1934 by Kenneth Wilson. While there are numerous hoaxes and theories behind what is believed to reside in the Loch Ness, there has yet to be any definitive identification made.
