Additional Information | Jimi Hendrix was an American singer, guitarist, and songwriter whose musical styles spanned psychedelic rock, blues, and hard rock. He is best known for his work with The Jimi Hendrix Experience, which also included bassist Noel Redding and drummer Mitch Mitchell. The 1967 album, Are You Experienced featured some of Hendrix's most popular songs, including "Purple Haze." He headlined at 1969's Woodstock festival. Hendrix is also known for playing right-handed guitars upside down and re-strung for left-handed style playing. |
