Chevrolet’s 1975 commercial ads praised, “Baseball, Hot dogs, Apple Pie and Chevrolet.” The campaign jingle was written by Ed Labunski and went on to inspire several more commercials. Its long-lasting success prompted Chevrolet to rerecord the commercial in 2006, modernizing the line to be, “stolen bases, goat cheese pizza, bottled water and Chevrolet.” One of General Motors' subsidiaries recorded their own version as well. In Australia, the Holden Car commercial slogan was, “Football, Meat Pies, Kangaroos and Holden Cars.” For South Africa, where their Chevrolet models are based on Holden Cars, they changed the line to “Braaivleis, rugby, sunny skies and Chevrolet.” Because you're curious, braaivleis in Afrikaans means grilled meat.
