Additional Information | From the 1960s onward, the phrase “jump in the sack” has come to mean to have sex with someone. Oftentimes, this expression is used to describe going to bed with someone that an individual is not too familiar with. The expression's origins may relate to the past time of sack racing where participants would partner up with friends or strangers at community events to jump in a burlap sack from start to finish in a straight line, attempting to win an honor or prize. The depiction on the image is a kangaroo, who is known to be good at jumping. |
