Additional Information | Caroline Quiner (1839 – 1924) was the mother of Laura Ingalls Wilder, author the Little House on the Prairie series. Caroline was born in Brookfield, Wisconsin. She married Charles Ingalls in 1860 and they had 5 children: Mary; Laura; Caroline (Carrie); Charles Frederick; and Grace. Caroline’s early life in Wisconsin is told in the Caroline Years series, an extension of the original Little House books, written by Maria D. Wilkes and Celia Wilkins. The series was illustrated by Dan Andreasen. |
