| Additional Information | Maud Lewis was a Canadian folk artist from Nova Scotia, who was inspired to paint by her mother. She married Everett Lewis, a fisherman, in 1938. They moved into a house with no electricity and plumbing and used their residence for drawing sketches. She died in the year 1970 and her former home is now considered a landmark. A movie called Maudie was made of her life and work. |
