Additional Information | Pop star, Michael Jackson, was one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century. Jackson began his music career in 1969 at the age of 11 in his family's band, The Jackson 5. Just a few of his biggest hits were "Beat It," "Don't Stop 'til You Get Enough," "Thriller," and "Billie Jean," each topping the Billboard charts for weeks. Jackson's popularity as a singer and dancer lasted throughout his entire life. On June 25, 2009, while preparing for an upcoming tour, This Is It, Jackson collapsed at a rehearsal in Los Angeles and was pronounced dead of a cardiac arrest at the age of 50. |
