New Century Hymnal Sing In Harmony

Published in 1995 by the United Church of Christ, the New Century Hymnal is a collection of Christian hymns and songs. The United Church of Christ has revised several of the hymns to make the language in it more inclusive. One such example of this revision deals with the many references to God as a masculine figure. The new century hymnal includes references to God as a masculine, non-binary, and feminine figure. In this way, the language of the hymns is more inclusive, allowing worship to be easier, and creating a harmony among all its constituents and listeners.
