Additional Information | John Michael “Ozzy” Osborne was the lead singer for Black Sabbath from 1969 until his dismissal in 1979. Several of his nicknames include Ozzy, the Prince of Darkness, The Godfather of Metal and Madman. His first album after his dismissal from Black Sabbath was the Blizzard of Oz and was released in September 1980. It was one of two albums that Osborne was able to record with guitarist Randy Rhoads before Rhoads’ death. As a solo artist, he released eleven albums of which the first seven earned multi-platinum certification in the United States. |
