Additional Information | The Police were a British rock band from the 1970s and 1980s consisting of members Sting, Stewart Copeland, and Andy Summers. Zenyatta Mondatta is the title of their third studio album which was released in 1980 and won two Grammy Awards. The title does not have any particular meaning since the band made up the words Zenyatta Mondatta, but it has been suggested that it comes from several different words put together. The words include Zen, Jomo Kenyatta (the first president of Kenya), le monde (the French word for the world), and Regatta which comes from the band's second album title, Regatta de Blanc. |
