| Additional Information | The "Splash Team" was created by author Tera Lynn Childs to help publicize her YA novels Forgive My Fins and Fins Are Forever. The novels follow a teenager navigating high school while hiding her identity as a mermaid from her classmates. The Splash Team consisted of teachers, bloggers, and librarians who created online interest in the novels' release through blog posts including teasers and reveals of the cover and other publication details. Childs created pins and other merchandise to encourage new members, and also allowed Splash members early access into her next publicity team for Sweet Venom, released in 2011. |
