| Additional Information | WXYZ- TV is based in Detroit, Michigan. It first went on the air in 1925 as WGHP, a sports radio station. In 1930 the station was purchased by Kunsky-Trendle Broadcasting and the name was changed to WXYZ. In 1948, WXYZ began broadcasting on television. It is Detroit's oldest TV station. |
