This button was part of the package you received when you joined "The Horror Fan Club". The ad, seen in comic books circa 1970 (commonly known as the "Moon Monster" ad), promised many incredible gifts if you join the club, dues $1.00. What you got, besides the pin, was a membership card, a one page "news letter", a sheet of a dozen movie monster photos, 3 monster masks (photos on 8.5 x 11 paper) and a 6 ft. Moon Monster poster. It sounded so much better in the ad. |
