Additional Information

Esperanza Health Centers are a series of health centers serving the neighborhoods of Pilsen and Little Village on Chicago’s Southwest Side formed in part to address the lack of accessible health services previously available in the area. The first center, located on South California Avenue, opened in 2004 and was named Esperanza, the Spanish word for “hope.”

In part of their service to these communities, Esperanza Health Centers provides bilingual, high quality primary care, behavioral health and wellness services to the community, regardless of immigration statues, insurance status, or ability to pay.

Esperanza Health Centers expanded and now includes four sites in Little Village (South Lawndale), Marquette Park (Chicago Lawn), and Brighton Park, the latter of which opened in May 20, 2019, to serve an additional 20,000 patients each year.
