| Additional Information | Animal, and his female counterpart, Foxy Lady, were illustrated characters from Lancers Wine's 1980 advertising campaign. Lancers Wine has been made at the J. M. da Fonseca winery in Portugal since 1944. Its importation to the United States coincided with the end of World War II. Lansers became extremely popular among returned American troops. Though the wine is still produced today, it is frequently referred to as "retro." |
