Additional Information | This button is from the 1976 presidential campaign of Gus Hall and Jarvis Tyner who ran as the candidates for the Communist Party of the United States of America (CPUSA). Gus Hall was a longtime leader of the CPUSA who unsuccessfully ran for president four times (1972, 1976, 1980, and 1984); twice with Jarvis Tyner as his running mate and twice with Angela Davis. Overall this campaign was his most successful, as he received over 58,000 total votes. |
