The Rebels are the mascot of the University of Nevada Las Vegas, however the men's basketball team is the only team referred to as 'the Running Rebels'. With 20 appearances in the NCAA tournament they have one of the best records in collegiate basketball. Winning the NCAA tournament in 1990 by defeating Duke 103-73, UNLV became the first school to score over 100 points in a championship game.
