Additional Information | Blue Ribbon Doughnuts was one of the first brands of packaged doughnuts sold in grocery stores in the United States. The brand was popular and heavily advertised in newspapers in the late 1920s and 1930s. The doughnuts were marketed as sanitary and modern because they were machine made and untouched by human hands. After being made in a factory, the doughnuts were then packaged in boxes and shipped to grocery stores. They came in two varieties, sugar and plain. |
