The Foot Guard Regiment serve two roles in the British Army. They are elite infantry soldiers who carry out operational duties throughout the world. They also train as ceremonial troops and are involved state and royal tasks. The guard on this button is part of the Scots Guard, the only guard not to wear a plume.
