Additional Information | The Caravan for Human Survival was dedicated to nuclear disarmament and operated thanks to fudning from the U.N. Reform, the World Federalists Association, and the Planetary Citizens. In the 1980s, they traveled throughout the United States, mostly to colleges and universities, to gain signatures for petitions against nuclear arms and to promote safe alternatives. In 1981, the organization traveled to Washington D.C. to present petitions before President Ronald Reagan and Congress and call for an arms freeze. |
